Do DeVol Radiator Guards Fit with Oversized Gas Tanks?
So you have a bike with an oversized tank to get you far places, but you need a set of Radiator Guards to keep you going far places. We get this question a fair amount and thought we would share this information to help you in your decision-making.
The DeVol Radiator Guards are always designed around the O.E.M. stock motorcycle components. Due to the vast aftermarket part options and combinations of bike models, it is simply something we may never know 100% whether our products will work with other branded aftermarket parts.
Unfortunately, we can't tell you which ones fit or not with the aftermarket oversized tanks, but what we can say from customer feedback is that some of them do. Slight modification of the Radiator Guards may be required depending on the tank, but the very best way to find out is to test them on your bike with your oversized tank.
Of course, purchasing something with the possibility of returning is taking a slight risk, so you will want to work with a company who has a solid return policy and ensure you keep all the packaging and the product in perfect condition.
